well…I can tell you that Chris started before Ben…but in the last few weeks seems to have bypassed and “grown up” a bit. I think we may be past it…for him. The girls….well girls are a whole other story…LOL
A great book to read: Raising Cain…protecting the emotional health of boys. What an eye opener for me and I think any mother/parent/adult! I “get it” now! I got the book from the library. I am not breezing through it as I would with any other book. As recommended by some friends/family…take your time reading this one and absorb it.
Ben is a good natured boy being raised by good people…I am sure you have nothing to worry about.

So funny! It’s true…thinking back to the “calm days” feels like a lifetime ago! I can tell you Alex has ALWAYS been a challenging kid (very active and into everything) but he was generally jolly most of the time. Then it happened…he “phased” right around turning 4. He will be 5 this month and things are a bit better. He is easier to reason with and not so crazed when things don’t go his way. But still could be better. It’s a waiting game I guess. But friends that have older kids tell me this is nothing compared to what is ahead. I’m a bit scared.

Okay that second photo, Ben on his back like that — I’ve never seen that expression on him EVER. It’s so intense and serious – such an amazing shot.
Melissa – I will look into that book – thanks for the tip and yes I hope his “good naturedness (is that a word?) shines through in the end. What am I talking about? It WILL! won’t it?
Jill – My MIL just said that to me last night…how funny. She told me stories of what trouble Craig used to get into when he was little. Is my stomach cut out for all the agita that is ahead?
Allegra – I love that shot too!
Thanks girls – I needed to hear from people going through the same thing as me. It is so frustrating especially when we didn’t change our style of parenting but somehow things just slipped and everything we ever taught has gone out the window. (OK, I’m exaggerating) I know this will pass but come on……
