My name is Marina and I'm a girl with curls, living on Long Island. I have two adorable boys, a really cute husband, 8 chickens and 1 beta fish named Top.
I'm a photographer, flamenco dancer, potter, gardener and a former Art teacher. I knit and cook and diy stuff too. I love dreaming and wishing but all in all, I'm content. I make the best of all we've got and feel like our family has created a warm, inviting home.
A camera was shoved in my hands when I was a young girl. I was lucky to have a Father who loved to shoot. We had a darkroom and he taught me how to develop and print. I loved it then and now it has evolved into something amazing. I work in my in-home digital darkroom and shoot on location and create images that families cherish forever.
I can't tell you how important it is to get in front of the camera. Yeah, I get it....you need to lose 10 pounds, buy the perfect outfit, you've got a pimple, yada yada yada.
You won't regret it. You will have these photos forever and so will your kids and family. You will print them and put them in albums to open up in years to come. They WILL put a smile on your face. You will hang them up on your walls and make your house a home.
Wow, you are amazing with all that you do!
Thanks Kim! It has been so many years…..we should have a reunion!
Hi Marina,
Just literally stumbled on your blog (not even sure how) and glad I did. Your images are beautiful. I too am a Long Islander, a mom, a former teacher and oddly enough had a he-she cat too.
Looking forward to reading more and following along.
Have a great weekend.
All the best,
Erin
Hi Erin – How funny that we have so much in common! I’m off to check out, out on a limb 🙂
Was wondering what the cost is for communion pictures. My daughters communion in May 14th so we would like to do ahead of time. Thanks Regina
